Karim Konsowa

Karim is the Portfolio Manager for 500 Startups in the Middle East and North Africa. He started his career by launching his first venture-backed startup at age 19, and since then, he has launched and worked in several other startups.

Prior to joining 500 Startups, Karim helped 4 venture capital funds fundraise throughout the MENA region (total of $100m in funds), supported a portfolio of 280+ startups, and designed an international virtual startup incubator program with a focus on displaced populations and inspiring female entrepreneurs. Before COVID-19, Karim was an avid Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner and Juniors’ Class coach.
